I’ve got a fun and meaningful tip – one that is near and dear to my heart – prayer journaling.
With the recent obsession with scripture/Bible journaling, I think it a neat thing to use our God-given creativity to worship our amazing God. Here are a couple of three events you can host as a get-together for your women so they can do so collectively:
A Journaling Bible Event. Whether at your own church or a nearby Lifeway store. See more here.
A Prayer Journal Event. With the craze of many women decorating their personal planners, I have found great joy in decorating my structured prayer journal. This provides a great opportunity to share our testimonies of how God is moving in our prayer life:
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony… Revelation 12:11a
If the art of Bible journaling has driven more women to the exploration of God’s Word, structured prayer journaling can have the same impact in our prayer life. When I post my photos in social media, I like using the hashtag #plantopray.
Here are a few pictures of my setups in my prayer journal.

Faithbooking Event. Don’t forget traditional scrapbooking events are lots of fun, too. A few years ago, my women’s ministry team hosted one such event and created sermon notes notebooks and Christmas cards.
Crafting is not an outdated activity for women’s ministry as some suggest; it just may look a little differently these days. Let’s use our ministry to women to tap into that creativity and provide them with a platform to do so collectively.
Spur on!
