You have been called to lead. And whether that is in ministry or the marketplace, my goal is to be that one colleague you can count on for encouragement, coaching, and clarity.
I know what it’s like to be a new leader where everyone is depending on you to lead the way when the reality is that you haven’t quite figured that part out yet.
Although you are a Christian, do you desire to be a Spirit-led Leader? Even though you are a person of faith, are you lacking faith in your own leadership abilities right now?
In my leadership roles as a Director of Women’s Ministry and as a Human Resources Executive, I have developed processes and strategies that yielded desired results, and I can help you excel in your leadership role, too!

How can I serve you?
In addition to one-on-one mentoring, there are other ways we could collaborate:
- Need a dynamic brainstorming facilitator for your team’s strategic planning retreat?
- Need a captivating speaker for your ministry or corporate event?
- Need a new innovative board member for your company?
My Business Journey
I was 22 years old, a college-drop out and working as a receptionist when I realized that I wanted a career in Human Resources (HR). As such, I took jobs that moved me closer to my dream job in that field, starting with the staffing industry. After a short stint as a recruiter, I landed an entry level position as a Human Resources Generalist.
After six years in the HR Generalist role, I took a job as a new HR Manager. And this began my leadership journey. Fortunately, I had great mentors who helped me find my way.
This is why I have a heart to serve the emerging leader. I want every woman to succeed in her leadership role.
It was a business mentor who had noticed my strength of being processed driven. This skill assisted my success in many areas and opened many doors for other opportunities that is still serving me well today.
During the Great Recession, I lost my corporate job, but God turned right around and gifted me with a position
on my church’s staff as a Director of Women’s Ministry where I served for six years. It was another opportunity to develop my mentoring skills while helping women developed spiritually.
In addition to church ministry, I became a published author and began traveling and speaking. This gave me an opportunity to pour into even more women.
I eventually went back to college to finish my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership – a fitting major for me, don’t you think? This major focuses on organizational effectiveness.
Since then, I have grown in my leadership roles to executive level in Corporate America, and even started my own consulting business as a side gig.
I thought I had secured my dream job in HR, but after years of little work/life balance, dealing with my mother’s long illness and ultimate death while going through menopause, I stepped out of the rate race in the middle of a pandemic to focus more on guiding and mentoring emerging female leaders.

Let me start by saying that I am an ultra uber private person; however, I would also say that I am extremely transparent. My soul longs to be poured out like a drink offering, meaning that I will share anything – the good, the bad and the ugly – if I believe it will help another soul. So, while my circle of people is extremely small, I give what I have to the masses, as God allows.
I like to say that I live in a farmhouse… in a subdivision that is shelved on a highland rim. My small town is located at the Northgate of Kentucky on the Tennessee side of the state line. I am what is referred to as a “Tuckessean,” which describes me perfectly. I was raised on the Kentucky side of the state line, but have lived on the Tennessee side for all of my adult life. It is the best of both worlds, and is truly God’s country. Except for when I went to college, I’ve practically lived within a five-mile radius my whole life.
I am blessed beyond measure to call my husband my best friend. Even though I am a Human Resources professional, his wisdom and gift of counsel far exceeds any talents I have in that field. He loves me well, so that’s that.
Our family has grown well beyond what I refer to as the “Original Four.” We have a successful and handsome son-in-law and five magnificent grandchildren now. My two daughters are my best friends and amaze me on the daily. They are not only very ambitious in each of their endeavors, but they are both remarkable women.
We are totally smitten with our bunch.
