Junk Journal, prayer journal, prayer closet, war room,As the work year came to a close, the staff at my j.o.b. piled into my boss’s office to strategize some new and pretty aggressive goals for the New Year.  We each shared how we would lead our individual functions and teams to contribute to the lofty goals that had been set.

As we ended our meeting, my boss asked, “Are we good?”  With great enthusiasm (I love a challenge!), I raised my arm and said one of my favorite sayings, “We are equal to the task!”  What my boss said in response was a pleasant surprise….he said, “You are GREATER than the task!”  Wow.

That was such an encouragement to me, and a great take-away.  As I look at my planner, I am prone to be overwhelmed to the point that I don’t even feel equal to the task.  How silly of me!  For I am not only equal the tasks I’ve outlined, but I.Am.Greater.Than.The.Tasks.  I really am!  When I look at each one, I realize how much greater I am than any of those things taking up space on my to-do list.

And if I can feel that way, I know that when God looks at my prayer list in my prayer journal, He definitely feels greater than my needs.  For He.Is.Greater.Than.My.Requests.  He really is!  And that relieves my mind and unshoulders my burdens—aaaah!

So, here is what I want you to walk away with:

  1. Confidence from knowing that you are greater than your tasks
  2. Confidence from believing that God is greater than your needs.

Got it?

Now, go!  Go in confidence and in peace.  Walk in it.  Soak it up and live like it.  This is my New Year’s wish for you!

On to the She Prayer Journals videos…I’m wrapping up Christmas!
