As we come to a close with the 31 Ways to Wreck Your Prayer Journal series, let’s discuss how to keep our wrecked prayer journals closed….with a pretty ribbon.

My wrecked prayer journal was so fat and chunky when I finished it.  Because it was so large, I decided to sit some heavy books on top of it to flatten it some.  Sadly, it flattened it more than I anticipated.  But, no matter the size, a nice bow keeping everything together is the final touch to this wonderful journal-wrecking journey!

As I punched holes through the pages, of course, it reminded me of the piereced hands of Jesus.  Everytime I noticed the hole punches in the pages, I could not help but think of what Jesus endured on my behalf and it humbled me greatly.

Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. John 19b-20

It’s that simple – poke holes and thread a nice ribbon through them and tie in a bow.  So this concludes the 31 Ways to WRECK Your Prayer Journal, and it has been wrapped up with a bow.  Thank you for joining me.  I’ve loved every minute of it!

Happy Prayer Journaling!
