Powerful Prayer Tip

RED ALERT! That’s my tip for today!!!

Welcome to Powerful Prayer Tip Tuesday.

I was recently at a conference when I heard someone mention this. Whenever they feel in need, they do not hesitate to text their friends these two words – RED ALERT. And those friends know exactly what that means, and therefore, they immediately begin to pray.

I think we all struggle in some form or fashion with that SOME THING. Maybe we are haunted by our past. Perhaps we are being tempted in some way. Could it be we are prone to self-destructive behaviors like gluttony, substance abuse or porn? Maybe we are vulnerable to an old flame.

If you have that SOME THING, do you have a small group of people that you could text a RED ALERT?

Prayer Tip Red Alert

I have a small group of women who attend my home church that make up the circle of go-to women for me. My home church is where I was raised and attended until I was 32, so they have known me most of my life and know my back story; they know what I’ve been through. Because they know me, they know my heart, and they can better discern how to best pray for me. And they don’t mind letting me know if I am getting off kilter either.

Even if you do not have people who have known you your whole life, I am sure you have women who do know you. Let them be women you can trust with your crazy. Let them be godly women. Let them be women in the Word.

You know, everyone needs someone they can take their crazy to. This world, this life can throw some crazy things at us that have the power to create some crazy thoughts in our minds. Do you know what I mean? But, we don’t have to be overpowered by them. As God’s children we can be victorious!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

Make it a priority to establish your RED ALERT notification process today!
