Powerful Prayer Tip

Call it shameless self-promotion, but this is the BEST prayer tip I have to share with you…structured prayer journaling!  Consider the book that introduces this new concept…Organizing Your Prayer Closet: A New and Life-Changing Way to Pray.

Now the end of all things is near; therefore, be serious and disciplined for prayer.  1 Peter 4:7 HCSB

Structured prayer journaling is an effective way to sort your thoughts as you prepare to pray.  It is a wonderful way to capture God’s hand as it moves through your life.

The reason I am bringing my book to the forefront today is because it makes a wonderful Christmas gift for those on your list.  It is also a great gift for yourself as you head into the New Year with a more renewed sense of being more diligent in the things that truly matter.

Did you know that when we write things down regarding our prayer life, it is like bringing things from the spiritual realm into our visual presence where we can physically see the hand of God?  Now, that’s exciting!  And it’s addicting, too!

Organizing Your Prayer Closet won the 2014 BEST Book Award for the Prayer Category in Christian Retailing’s annual BEST Book awards.  The BEST awards are based upon a book’s ability to “impact, including their ability to speak to people’s hearts and evoke emotion; open people’s minds to new ways of thinking; and encourage and affirm Christ-like living” according to Christian Retailing Magazine.

Structured prayer journaling can truly make a positive difference in your prayer life, and that is why I am so passionate about sharing this gift with you.

For November, I ran a 5-book give-away for my Facebook’s fan page, and here are the winners:   Ruth Dickens, Fred St. Laurent, Valarie Fischer Bierman, Judy Smith, and Brenda Primeau! The Random Name Picker from Mini Web Tools was used to facilitate this drawing. Congratulations everyone!

Because the give-away was so successful, I decided that I would do another one in December, but with a little twist; I am going to up the ante this time.  This drawing will be for my blog subscribers.  If you are not a subscriber, you can become one here. This will be another 5-book give-away, plus one more special give-away for the subscriber who most creatively promotes Organizing Your Prayer Closet.  Just email me with details of all the different ways you promoted my book, and my ministry board and I will name a winner on December 20th.

Whomever does the most and is the most creative will win this really cool ASK cross necklace (valued at $38) with a copy of my book!

  1. This looks like the most organized prayer journal I have seen. No wonder it won the best award. I found you through Holly Barrett’s linkup and glad I did.
