If prayer seems like a difficult spiritual discipline to you, then maybe you’ve been over thinking it!
Welcome to Powerful Prayer Tip Tuesday!!!
There is a quote that I love, and it perfectly describes what prayer is to me:
Pray with your intelligence. Bring things to God that you have thought out and think them out again with Him. That is the secret of good judgment. ~Charles H. Brent
This is what prayer is really like! Don’t you just love it?
All throughout the day I am thinking – thinking about things, thinking through things, and then I do it all over again with God. Whatever I am praying over I hold it up against God’s Word, God’s Nature and God’s Spirit’s leading, confirmation and conviction.
In case you think that prayer is more complicated than that, it isn’t. Whenever you feel overwhelmed by the concept of prayer, remind yourself of how simple it really is.
I am sure you have heard that prayer is a conversation with God, and that is absolutely correct. This is how we pray continuously. We engage in conversation with God throughout the day about all of the various things we are thinking and experiencing.
“pray continually,” 1 Thessalonian 5:17
Prayer is a wonderful thing.
