So here are my tips:
- Don’t keep this important date a “secret.” Let your man know 2 weeks, 1 week, 3 days and the day before that this special date is coming. Build up the excitement and anticipation with him, whether it be Valentine’s Day, your birthday or anniversary.
-
As you share the excitement over this upcoming milestone, bring up some ideas of how you would like to celebrate it with him.
-
Ask him about any ideas that he may have about how he would enjoy the day. If he just wants to stay in and have his favorite home-cooked meal and watch a favorite movie, then begin to think up some special touches.
-
And if the morning of, he is still prone to forget, write a sweet note on the bathroom mirror or place a special note with his keys so he can see it before he leaves you.
Don’t spend your special day mad and disappointed. Be a “help meet” and enjoy your day!
