So, let’s get this thing started with wrecking our prayer journals, shall we???
The first prompt is to design a cover. They say you cannot always tell a book by its cover, and let this be no different. Feel free to decorate it with the things you love. For mine, I did a spin-off of Keri Smith’s Wreck this Journal’s cover while showcasing the title of the actual prayer journal I am using. Had I not needed this cover for showcasing exactly what I was doing, I may have created something like what I have below.
I think they are so pretty. It’s amazing what all you can accomplish with some scrapbook paper and washi tape, don’t you think??? Just because my theme is about ways to WRECK your prayer journal, doesn’t mean they have to be ugly. Remember in my introduction story I shared how God wrecked me by addressing the ugliness in my heart? His work in us makes us beautiful to Him, so make your WRECKED prayer journal beautiful to you.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit”. 2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV
The goal behind Keri Smith’s Wreck This Journal is to break through your creative process. I hope you use this prompt to begin breaking through in prayer. I pray it takes you outside the lines of common prayer. Our prayers are precious and they deserve more than just an honorable mention. I pray this series brings a fresh approach to your prayer life!
Happy Prayer Journaling!
